The brief summary of the project:
Adana is the 4th largest Province of Turkey, with over 2М population, and substantial business and tourism opportunities. Due to the lack of 5-star hotels and as an investment, the group took the initiative to add value to the sector by constructing a 5-star hotel.
Built on an area of 64.000sqm with 247-room (gross site area – 247 room / 500 bed capacity), convention halls, ballrooms, restaurants, bars, fitness centre, indoor & outdoor swimming pools and other amenities, the hotel is the biggest 5-star hotel in the region.
It is designed to be 17 storeys with 3 basement floors, ground floor and one mezzanine floor. The foundation of the hotel has 326 bored piles. The hotel is being operated by Adalı Group under Sheraton brand. The soft opening has been executed on December 2013.
Adana Sheraton has been awarded to Best Hotel Architecture in International Property Awards 2013-2014. The architect has received the award following the Gala that took place in London Grosvenor House Hotel on 3rd November 2013.
An exciting addition to the river side in Adana, the Sheraton Hotel building is based on the idea to emphasize the embankments of the city. The design seeks to respond to daylight and manipulates the viewing opportunities across the city. The form is composed of longitude terraces that creates a dynamic outlook and controls the scale.
The building maintains regularity and reflects an integral uniformity in its façade design leads up to the river. It embodies the increasing energy of the city of Adana and creates fluidity with an interacting volume solid geometry.
