Project consisted of the design and construction of a new strategic airlift ramp. Project scope included topographic surveys and geotechnical studies, 100 % preparation of plans and specifications, demolitions, site preparation, and construction of concrete and asphalt paved areas, electrical work, and open drainage system.

There were two semi automated concrete batch plants with a total capacity of 185 m3/h. Approximately 140,000 m3 excavation has been completed, 45,000 m3 of concrete and 2,000 tons of asphalt have been placed, 35,000 dowel bars, airfield lighting and flood lighting have been designed, procured, installed and commissioned.

Project also included de‐icing area, de‐icing liquid collection tank, and grounding and tie down points for aircrafts. All work was performed by SERKA and its Designer of Record. Design work was handled by Altan Engineering Ltd. The strategic ramp is designed to handle the parking of five C‐17A, seven KC‐135R aircrafts as well as a deicing area for a C‐5 aircraft.
